Pack them in a book or a small sturdy box

Secure all tops, caps, or corks. Cleat nail polish aroud the edge of a cap will help seal it. For added protection, tape the tops closed. Pack with paper and mark the container fragile.

We can roll them or you can (tie them with twine). Small rugs may be rolled together or rolled inside a larger rug. Vacuum pads and rugs before rolling them, upl
TIPS: 4. Stereos and tv’s
Be sure remove the stereo’s needle and secure the arm and tumtable. Then pad the componets and pack in cartons. Tv’s should be padded and packed upright in cartons.
TIPS: 5. Tables
Remove the legs. (where applicable) from tables and tie them together. Seal the hard-ware in an envelope and tape it to the underside of the table top.
TIPS: 6. Tools
Power tools should be dismantled as much as possible and the parts packed separately to reduce weight and damage. Hand tools and small garden tools go into cartons. Tio long handled rakes, shovels, and hoes together.

TIPS: 7. Smoother movers guide to a smooth move
Go through your home and pul aout items you don’ need or use. Sell as many of them as you can with a garage sale or newspaper classified ad.
Then give away you can ‘t sell to neighbors or a charity. (If you give items ti a charity, be sure to get a receipt so you can deduct the contribution.)
Depending on the reason for your move and the distance you ‘re moving, many of your costs may be tax deductible.
Don’t forget to request refunds of your deposits from gas, electric, water, telephone, fuel and oll companies.
The post office has rellocation cards.
TIPS: 8. How to pack
Let us do it or do it yourselves; we can supply the material you’ll need! if you decide to do it, do it early. And do it carefully (that way you won’t have unpleasant surprises when you begin to unpack). Be sure to seal your boxes top and bottom.
Be sure to mark all cartons according to room and contents that won’t be stanined by ink. Use our newsprint for other items, such as crystal or china.
DON’T PACK valuables such as money, jewelry or important papers. Set them aside and carry them with you as you move. if you find you must pack items such as these-do not mark contents on box. There are times when the truck might be lett unattended and you don ‘t want to leave an open invitacion!
Our Insurance only covers items we have packed or where the box has been damaged by mishandling. PLEASE PACK CAREFULLY!
TIPS: 9. Appliances
Many major appliances require special care in disconnection and packing, especially refrigerators and washing machines. Have the gas company disconnect gas dryers or stoves.
Defrst your refrigerator or freezer a coumple of days bofore moving and dry the interior. Use baking soda or several drops of vanilla extract in a cotton ball and place inside to reduce odor.
Remove glass trays and containes and pack separately.
Wrap paper around each shell and allow it to hang out over the edge facing the door to prevent scratching, and chipping inside. Tape doors shut securely.
Small appliances should be packed in their original cotainers or smal cartons. They may also be padded and placed in the bottom of large utility cartons.
TIPS: 10. Beds
We can disassemble the beds or you can (mark the pleces so you know they go together) Lash rails and crosspleaces together. Leave covers on mattresses and box springs to keep them clean.
TIPS: 11. Books
They’re very havy, so use our book boxes or a small sturdy box.
TIPS: 12. Bureaus
Fill the drawers with linens and clothes only, except antiques. Empty Antiques Totally. Place all hardware and or screws to mirrors, etc, securely in top right hand drawer.
TIPS: 13. Clothes
Anything that normally hangs in your closet should travel the same way-hanging in a wardrobe carton.
TIPS: 14. Dishes and glassware
Pack carefully and sturdy contaieners such as our china barrels. Place two or three, inches of padding in the bottom of the caontainer. Don’t skimp with good china or crystal. Wrap each dish separately in at least two layers of paper. The layer of paper on the pieces needs to be packing paper, the outside may be newspaper. Start by placing wrapped pieces at the edge of the cantainer and work in toward the center. Stand your dishes on edge not flat. Pack within a few inches of the top. Fill this space with cushioning material, then seal the top.
TIPS: 15. Firearms and flamables
We cannot carry any fireams or flamables! So plan to take these in your car.
TIPS: 16. Kitchenware
Wrap in double thickness of newspaper and place in a china barrel, with the heavier, items on the bottom.
TIPS: 17. Lamps
Disassemble and pack the bases in china barrels padded with clothing, linen, or paper. Wrap the shades separately in clean tissue paper and place them in individual lamp shade boxes.
TIPS: 18. Lines, bedding and drapes
Use your bed linens, towels, blankets, conforters and pillows to pad breakable items. Drapes may be folded and packed in linen cartons. Or they may be placed on hangers and moved in a wardrobe carton.
TIPS: 19. Mirrors and paintings
We can pack them or you can crate them, or wrap them in heavy cardboard (mark them so we ‘ll be especially carefull in loading).
